IMG Design Studio is based in Edmonton, Alberta and is an independent Drafting Design and Photography company. Our goals are to brand, promote and help local businesses grow, stand out and be successful. The company is founded by Mihai Gijiu (in 2017) after almost one year of practice in real estate photography. With more than 5 years drafting technologist experience and engineering background, Mihai excelled in delivering beautiful packages that had a meaningful impact on the growth of the company. Mihai graduated Mechanical Engineering University in 2001 in Romania but didn’t feel it as “his calling” and he was always incomplete knowing that “this ain’t it”… Then he stared his family, got married, bought a house, had two handsome and very smart boys while he was working full time, sometimes even 2-3 jobs to make sure his family is taken care of. All of this while deep down in his heart he still knew… ”this ain’t it”. He loved photography of all sorts, he loved to do drawings and he loved beautiful- but he didn’t know what to do with all that, he didn’t know where to start… and one day he had a great encounter! He met the amazing Gary Vaynerchuk (online, of course) and at that moment the light bulb switched! At that moment he knew he had to live his dream, do what he loved and share his passion with others. He wanted to live to work not work to live and teach others at the same time to do the same. 

“ I am an entrepreneur, I adapt easily and I am always learning new stuff…every day! Heck, I’m still learning English helping my kids with homework, but I do teach them math, haha. My family is right here – holding his hand held high- and then there’s the rest, you know? Without them, I wouldn’t be where I am today, without them, I wouldn’t even want to be…at all. I don’t care about success, I care about enjoying the journey, to have something to remember… just use me as a step on the ladder of your success! I am teaching my kids to be good people every day, to be careless to bad influences and to create memories. At the end of the day, when it’s game over… memories- it’s all we “take” with us…”
